European football clubs are trying their best to capture the growing Indian market and that's no secret. From Arsenal and Manchester United posting videos on their social media accounts to wishing their fans in the East to Tottenham Hotspurs and Borussia Dortmund posting updates in Hindi, the clubs are trying their best to keep in touch with their Indian fans.

But, in a wonderful display of sportsmanship, ace Indian batsman Ajinkya Rahane recently received a jersey from his favourite club FC Bayern Munich with his name 'Ajinkya' and number '27' printed on it as a token of appreciation and they also wished him a special Diwali.

The Mumbaikar was quick to act on his part as he posted a video on his facebook account appreciating the German club's efforts. He wished all his fans a Happy Diwali and also mentioned that Bayern Munich will soon receive a gift from his behalf.

On receiving the return gift, Bayern Munich's Dutch star Arjen Robben posed with the India ODI jersey with a wide smile on his face. The picture was posted by Bayern Munich on their official facebook account as they wished Rahane and everyone in India a happy Diwali once again.

This comes after an ordinary ODI series from Rahane against New Zealand. He was promoted up to the opener's position in the absence of the injured Shikhar Dhawan and KL Rahul but he failed to take the advantage of it as he only managed 143 runs with an average of 28.6 with just one half century to his name. However, he will have the chance to make amends as the Test series against England starts from November 9 and he can continue from where he left off in the longer format.

As far as Bayern Munich are concerned, they are on top of the Bundesliga table with 23 points from nine games followed by RB Leipzig on 21 and Hoffenheim on 19, sitting on second and third respectively. Bayern Munich next play PSV Eindhoven away in their Champions League clash on Tuesday night.

Hopefully, both Rahane and Robben can help their teams to prosper in the coming fixtures.
