Bhuvneshwar Kumar picked up another five-wicket haul as India pressed home advantage on the second day of the second Test against New Zealand at the Eden Gardens on Saturday.

Bhuvneshwar bowled with precision as he ran through New Zealand batting line-up to grab his first five-wicket haul in India, making his dream come true. His previous three five-wicket hauls have come in England (Nottingham and Lord's) and West Indies (Gros Islet).

"It was one of my dreams to take five wickets in India. When I saw that the wicket would help me, I told myself I want to take five wickets," Bhuvneshwar said.

Second day's play was hampered by rain just before tea and almost two hours of play was lost due to bad weather in Kolkata. However, India returned to bag three more wickets for 43 runs as New Zealand reached 128/7 at stumps, still trailing India (316) by 188 runs.

It was also Bhuvneshwar's second five-wicket haul in three Tests. His previous one came against the West Indies at Gros Islet in August when he made a Test comeback after a gap of almost 19 months.

"In India you rarely get this kind of wicket, so I wanted to make full use of it," Bhuvneshwar added.

Bhuvneshwar, who was dropped for the first Test in Kanpur despite a good show in the Caribbean where India won 2-0, said he wanted to make the best use of the opportunity.

"I really wanted to make use of the opportunity and I'm very happy with how I bowled. Ross Taylor was my best wicket out of the five today," he said.
