The 28-year-old striker has been linked with the likes of AC Milan and Chelsea, while reports of a mega move to China have also surfaced.

Aubameyang was the top scorer in the Bundesliga in the 2016-17 campaign, scoring an incredible 31 goals in 32 games to see off competition from Robert Lewandowski.

And it appears the Gabon international is going to be staying put, with the club's sporting director Michael Zorc revealing that time has run out for any interested parties.

He confirmed to reporters on Tuesday: "We see the transfer window as closed. Time was a deciding factor."

Aubameyang scored twice as he featured from the start in Dortmund's 3-1 International Champions Cup victory over Milan.
