FC Pune City's 2017 ISL Draft Details: Kean Lewis, Isaac Vanmalsawma, Adil Khan among signed

FC Pune City kick-started building up to the fourth edition of the Indian Super League (ISL) after they made quite a few shrewd picks at the 2017 ISL domestic player's draft on Sunday. Former Delhi Dynamos and Mohun Bagan centre back Adil Khan became the first player to be drafted in by the Orange Army. The 29-year-old joined goalkeeper Vishal Kaith who was the sole player retained by the Wadhawan Group co-owned outfit. ALSO READ: FULL LIST OF PLAYERS SIGNED BY FRANCHISES Their defence was further bolstered by the inclusion of Lalchhuanmawia 'Chhuantea' Fanai, Harpreet Singh, Gurtej Singh, Wayne Vaz, Pawan Kumar, Kamaljit Singh and Nim Dorjee Tamang. Having failed to reach an agreement with star midfielder Eugeneson Lyngdoh, the Pune side were quick to acquire the services of upcoming star Isaac Vanmalsawma. Rohit Kumar and seasoned campaigner Sheikh Jewel Raja. Kean Lewis, who impressed the audience with his spirited displays for Delhi Dynamos the last term was ushered in, so was Baljit Sahni, a player Antonio Habas is familiar with. JCT Academy product Ajay Singh was also chosen to represent Pune City. Just like their fellow Maharashtrian side Mumbai City, Pune City are yet to win the coveted ISL title.The Pune based franchise have not reached the last four side in the last three seasons and share this dubious record with NorthEast United.

Winner of ISL 2014 coach with Atletico de Kolkata Antonio Lopez Habas will be calling the shots from the dug-out while Pradhyum Reddy, who was the head coach of Shillong Lajong earlier before working under Ashley Westwood at Bengaluru FC, will be helping him out.
