Mayanti Langer, famous Television presenter and wife of cricketer Stuart Binny, has hit back at the trollers for targetting her husband, who was smashed for five sixes against the West Indies in the first T20 international in Florida last week.

Binny, who holds the record (6/4) for best bowling figures by an Indian in ODIs, gave away 32 runs in an over during the first T20 that India lost by one run. Centurion Evin Lewis hit five sixes in Binny's over.

Even though none of the Indian bowlers were spared that day, Binny too fell short on his luck. He came on to bowl the 11th over, but was blasted for sixes on his first five balls. He never came back to bowl again in that game and was dropped for the next T20, which was abandoned after the first innings due to rain and wet outfield.

Following India's last-ball defeat, Binny was slammed on social media.

Stuart, son of former cricketer Roger Binny, married Mayanti in 2012. She wrote a strongly-worded post on Twitter.

"Taunting me with suicide is shameful. Think of the families that suffer because of this tragedy and you have reduced their plight to a joke"

Slideshow: How Indian team’s jersey has progressed over the years

How Indian cricket team’s jersey has progressed over the years: 1992- There’s blues and then there are blues so it’s worth debating if India’s 1992 jersey Down Under was Navy, Midnight or the staid Oxford blue. But when colour came to World Cup clothing, it brought with it the stripes on the shoulders (white, red, green, blue) like the test pattern of colour bars in TV with India in san serif yellow.
