New foreign recruits Stephane Bayi Kamo and Ansumana Kromah started for Bagan today and looked settled in their very first game. Defender Abhishek Das and midfielder Denson Devadas, the unsold players from the ISL draft, were present at the Mohun Bagan ground but did not take part in the match against George Telegraph.

It was an impressive start to Bagan’s new season who will be eyeing the much elusive CFL title this time. They have not won the trophy for the past 7 seasons. Their rivals East Bengal bagged it for a record seventh consecutive time last year.

Several new faces were seen in Bagan’s training as their core squad have left the team to join different Indian Super League sides. A host of Indian stars like Pritam Kotal, Debjit Majumder, Prabir Das, Pranoy Halder, Sehnaj Singh, Souvik Chakraborty have left the Bagan squad leaving a huge void.
