India showed nerves of steel to snatch a 3-2 win against Pakistan in a round-robin match of the Asian Champions Trophy in Kuantan, Malaysia, on Sunday.

The match lived up to its cult status as both teams gave it all to win the tie, but ultimately India had the last laugh.

Pardeep Mor (22nd minute), Rupinder Pal Singh (43rd) and Ramandeep Singh (44th) score the goals for India.

For Pakistan, Muhammad Rizwan Sr (33rd) and Muhammad Irfan Jnr. (39th) were the scored.

After a goalless first quarter, India took 1-0 lead as Pardeep Mor scored a field goal from close range in the second quarter.

But Pakistan came back brilliantly in the match in the third quarter, as Rizwan and Irfan score in quick succession to give their team a 2-1 lead.

But India were not to be bogged down so soon as Rupinder sucesfully converted a penalty corner to equalise for India in the 43rd minute.

A minute later, Ramandeep scored a brilliant goal to give India a 3-2 lead. Pakistan could not restore parity and lost the match.
