Pep Guardiola's Manchester City side has achieved a defensive mark that's a club first, keeping five straight clean sheets on the road.

City's 2-0 victory over Sunderland in the Stadium of Light extended their away unbeaten run to five games, with all of those matches seeing Guardiola's men hold their opponent scoreless.

While City's defence is setting club records away from home, the unit hasn't been as strong at the Etihad Stadium, conceding but avoiding defeat in their last six home matches.

The other matches in the away streak were FA Cup games to Crystal Palace and Huddersfield Town, along with Premier League wins over West Ham United and Bournemouth.

The Sky Blues return to action Wednesday at home against Stoke and will then look to extend their clean-sheet streak with a FA Cup quarter-final at Middlesbrough.
