PFA help Kruse, Holland end Liaoning stint logo 18-05-2017

Socceroos pair Robbie Kruse and James Holland have parted ways with Chinese Super League (CSL) club Liaoning Whowin.

In a statement, Professional Footballers Australia (PFA) confirmed Kruse and Holland have terminated their employment contracts with immediate effect.

"The PFA has provided ongoing support to James and Robbie following the club's repeated failure to honour its contractual obligations to the players," said PFA CEO John Didulica.

"The players had placed the club on notice to remedy the situation, however the club has failed to do this.

"As a result, both players have terminated their respective contracts for just cause, in accordance with FIFA regulations.

"As a consequence, they are now free agents and entitled to sign with clubs of their choosing."

Kruse and Holland joined Liaoning in January after the CSL outfit had decided to dismiss with fellow Australians Michael Thwaite and Dario Vidosic, with the latter pair also needing PFA assistance to ensure their "rights were protected".

Holland left Adelaide United to head to China, while Kruse ended his association with Bayer Leverkusen.

Kruse played four CSL matches for Ma Lin's side but has been out of the side since the end of April, while Holland made just one league appearance.

Liaoning have a long history of signing Australian players with Ryan Griffiths, Chris Coyne, Dean Heffernan, Billy Celeski, Josh Mitchell and James Troisi having also played for the club based in China's northeast.
