Real Madrid stars send support to stricken rival Torres after sickening head injury logo 02-03-2017

Real Madrid stars Sergio Ramos and Alvaro Morata have sent support to Fernando Torres after the Atletico striker suffered a horrific head injury Thursday.

Simeone feared Torres neck injury

Torres was knocked out cold after an awkward aerial challenge during Atletico's 1-1 draw with Deportivo. The 32-year-old was removed from the field on a stretcher and taken to hospital, with Atletico later announcing that a scan appeared to show no permanent damage.

And the Madrid rivalry went out the window as Ramos tweeted at Torres, his former Spain teammate: "Strength my friend!"

Morata chimed in with support as well, tweeting: "Sometimes the colours don't matter! I hope you will be training and playing as soon as possible!"
