India on Monday outclassed England by an innings and 36 runs to win their first Test series against the Three Lions in eight years. Cricketers and BCCI big wigs celebrated India's dominating performance over the visiting England side, which was outplayed in all departments of the game. India drew the first Test in Rajkot but have enjoyed supremacy in Vizag, Mohali and now in Mumbai.

India had last beaten England in 2008-09 at home (1-0). Since then, they had lost in England in 2011 (4-0), in India in 2012-13 (1-2) and in England in 2014 (1-3).

Even as India pocketed their fifth successive series win, batting great Sachin Tendulkar took to Twitter to express his happiness. India have now won series against Sri Lanka (2-1), South Africa (3-0), West Indies (2-0), New Zealand (3-0) and England (3-0) with one more match to go in the series.

Yuvraj Singh, who celebrated his 35th birthday today, thanked the Indian Test team for the "lovely" birthday present.

The fifth and the final Test of the series will be played in Chennai from December 16. However, the Cyclone Vardah is expected to hit the Tamil Nadu capital soon.

After the Test series, England return home for a Christmas break and will comeback in January for a three-match ODI and three T20Is from January 15.
