Brendon McCullum's Kolkata Knight Riders will be looking to make a final push for the playoffs spot against SunRisers Hyderabad on Saturday, 14 May. This will be one of the final matches that KKR will play under the tutelage of the legendary Kiwi, who is set to move to England and take charge of the Ben Stokes-led team at the end of the Indian Premier League season.

Since coming to KKR, McCullum has managed to change the way the franchise has tried to play the T20 game, glimpses of which was seen against Mumbai Indians in their last game. Venkatesh Iyer looked to be back at his best, smashing the bowlers all over the park, scoring a rapid 43 runs. While the majority of the momentum died down by the middle of the innings, KKR had enough fire-power in the back end, to crank up the heat on Mumbai Indians and secure a massive victory of 52 runs despite scoring 165 in the first innings.

IPL 2022: Full Coverage

KKR will be facing SRH, who drubbed them heavily in their last game, with Umran Malik putting a huge dent in their batting line-up, picking up two wickets and bowling at rapid pace. While the pace is still there, Umran Malik and SRH's fortunes have not been the same.

Both of them have been awry. Umran has gone for plenty of runs, to the point that he was bowled for only two overs in his last game, while SRH have struggled with injuries, putting key members - T Natarajan and Washington Sundar out of contention for several games.

Coach Tom Moody has hoped that both will be back, but that bit is yet to be confirmed.

Key Players

Rahul Tripathi (SRH): Versatile against both spin and pace, Rahul Tripathi can be clutch against a bowling line-up that houses Sunil Narine. If Tripathi can stay there will the end, one can expect a lot of fireworks at Pune today.

Andre Russell (KKR): With Pat Cummins out, Andre Russell will be key against SRH, both with the ball and the bat. It is possible that the short ball issue will trouble the KKR batsmen against the likes of Umran Malik, and that is where Andre Russell comes to the party. If he starts to get going against the rest of the pacers, KRR might pull away early in the game.
