In the longest version of cricket, a number of batsmen have played memorable innings that have changed the fate of a particular match on many occasions. Let's enjoy five such Test innings played in the last 20 years.

1.  Brilliant batting by Jones, Hughes against West Indies in 1988-89

Dean Jones and Merv Hughes' superb partnership against West Indies in 1988-89 is one of the memorable batting performances in the history of Test cricket.

English batsman Ben Stokes scored a double century in just 163 deliveries against South Africa in January 2016 that helped England win the Test on foreign soil.

3. Fastest chase in the history of Test cricket

Pakistan achieved this feat against Sri Lanka on January 16, 2014 at Sharjah. Chasing 302, Pakistan reached home in just 57.3 overs after losing five wickets. A superb century by Azhar Ali and an effective half-century by Misbah-ul-Haq helped Pakistan register a sensational victory in the third Test . The win enabled the hosts to square the three-match series.

4. Steve Smith's brilliant performance against West Indies

Australia's Steve Smith scored 199 against West Indies in Jamaica during their Caribbean tour in 2015.

5. Ian Bell's fantastic batting display in Antigua

England's Ian Bell hit 143 against West Indies during the 1st Test at Antigua in 2015.
