Virat Kohli has had many firsts in his brief but an already successful career as captain of the Indian team.

It wasn't India's first Test series win in the Caribbean but still there were records galore that Virat & Co. raised in the three Tests so far.

For the first time, India have been victorious in a series in West Indies by winning more than a Test.

With just one more Test remaining in the four-match series, India have taken an unassailable 2-0 lead.

This was India's fourth series win in the Caribbean, having won previously in 1970-71, 2006 and 2011.

In 1970-71, India played a five-Test series under Ajit Wadekar when they defeated the West Indies 1-0 after winning the second Test at Port of Spain by 7 wickets.

India then won two series in 2006 and then in 2011, both 1-0.

It was for the first time in 48 years that India dismissed all 10 wickets of the opposition team on the last day to win a Test.

There had been seven different occasions in the past before the St Lucia Test when India had dismissed all 10 opposition batsmen on the last day to win a Test.

But six of those wins had come in India, and away from home, it was a first since India defeated New Zealand way back in 1968 when the Kiwis were bundled out for 101 in their second innings on the last day.

Virat had scored a double century in the ope ing Test which took him past Mohammad Azharuddin. He became the first Indian captain to score a double hundred outside home as he eclipsed Azharuddin's record of 192 he hit in 1989-90 in Auckland against New Zealand.

This, obviously, isn't the strongest West Indian team that India have faced but still, a win is a win and favourable numbers would be more than welcome with those victories.
