As India get closer to playing their historic 500th Test match, Virat Kohli is leaving no stone unturned to stay fit for the upcoming gruelling series against New Zealand, starting September 22.

Kohli, who has taken Indian cricket's fitness levels to another level, has been training hard every day en route to become the "best athlete" in the world.

Kohli posted a new video on his Instagram account where his "buddy" Bruno, a beagle, is seen ready to join him on the training session.

Hahaha this is proper domination. Love this little stud ❤😎🐕

In the last couple of years, the 27-year-old Kohli has worked hard on his fitness and the results are quite visible.

Kohli will lead India in a three-match Test series against New Zealand. India will also play five ODIs against the Kiwis, with MS Dhoni in charge. Kohli will play his first ODI since Australia series in January when India take on the Black Caps next month.

The superstar batsman, who has over 7 million followers on popular social networking site Instagram, has been on a spree posting a series of videos and photos where he is seen doing a wide variety of activities such as high-intensity training for the upcoming Test season in India and getting a new haircut.

Kohli has been in supreme form this year scoring a record 973 runs in the IPL, including four centuries. Kohli also became the first Indian Test captain to hit a double hundred overseas when he struck 200 against the West Indies last month.
