The Green Falcons put in a commanding display as they dominated the War Elephants at the Rajamangala Stadium, Bangkok on Thursday evening in a 2018 World Cup qualifier.

The win took Saudi’s tally to 13 points from six matches while Thailand only have a point to show for their efforts from six games in Group B.

The visitors started on the front foot and were duly rewarded midway into the first half. Mohammad Al Sahlawi got on the end of a pass from Nawaf Al Abid and found the back of the net with a clinical finish.

The game ended as a contest in the 84th minute when Tanaboon Kesarat scored an own goal as he attempted to block a cross. Thereafter, Salman Al Moasher rubbed further salt to injury as he tapped in from a cross by Taisir Al Jassim.
