Pay five percent more toll on national highways from today

That smooth ride will now cost you more. Get ready to pay more for driving on National Highways in the country. Tolls on most national highways are going up by 5% from April 1, 2023. Last year, the increase was about 8% from the rates of 2021-22. The government revises the toll rate every year. As per the revised rate, the per km user fee for a car is Rs 1.43, up from Rs 1.36. There are 816 toll plazas on the entire network of national highways in the country that are managed by NHAI. The new user fee or toll will be applicable at nearly 80% of these toll plazas.
