Why Mumbai-Goa Highway was shut for 25 hours
Traffic on the Mumbai-Goa highway was shut for 25 hours after a tanker filled with LPG, fell off the bridge and into the river, after an accident, resulting in a gas leak. The tanker was carrying 17MT of LPG. Power supply in the area was cut off after the gas leak was noticed. The truck was pulled out of the river only on Friday evening after which traffic on the highway was restored.
