Chhattisgarh’s first woman Agniveer fulfills father’s dream but dad who encouraged her is no more

When there is a will there's a way! This proverb defines the story of 19-year-old Hisha Baghel who marched at her passing out parade as the first batch of women Agniveers at INS Chilka on March 28. Hisha is certainly on cloud nine but little did she know that her father, who inspired her to join the armed forces, is no more. Hisha's father Santosh Baghel drove an auto rickshaw for a living, but the family had to sell it off when he was detected with cancer in 2016. Hisha's elder brother Komal Baghel said she is coming home in the second week of April.
