Dense fog engulfs Delhi for third day, visibility drops to 50 metres at Palam

On January 14, it was the third straight day of dense fog spell in parts of the city. According to India Meteorological Department (IMD), visibility dropped to 50 metres at Palam from 4.30am to 9.30am. The visibility remained between 50 and 100 metres at Safdarjung from 7am to 9.30am. The Met department has predicted that the fog spell could continue for the next 2-3 days. Low visibility procedures have kicked in at Delhi airport due to the fog.
