Docuseries on Jiah Khan's death releases in UK, Sooraj Pancholi gets slammed by netizens for featuring in the series and claiming his innocence

Jiah Khan was a rising star with the potential to make it really big in Bollywood one day. But at just 25 she passed away. Jiah, who appeared in hit films such as 'Nishabd', 'Ghajini', and 'Housefull', was found dead in her family's Mumbai apartment in 2013. While her death was ruled a suicide, her mother, Rabiya Khan, has maintained over the years that her daughter was murdered by her boyfriend at the time, actor Sooraj Pancholi, who was named in a suicide note found by the authorities. Fast forward 7 years to her death, the question of whether it was suicide or murder still puzzles her fans who have been following the case. Now, a three-part investigative docuseries has aired over three days in the UK, on the actress' death and has created quite a storm on social media. Sooraj also appears in the second episode of the series, in which he repeats that he is innocent. Following the release of the docuseries, netizens have been taking to social media to slam Sooraj. Reacting to the docuseries, one user wrote, 'Not once at any point has Sarooj said he can't believe Jia is gone, or he misses her or her family must be devastated. He's just constantly tried to put forward his defence. He's not even admitted the investigation has been poorly handled.' One wrote, 'I am truly shocked that #SoorajPancholi and #adityapancholi agreed to be interviewed for #DeathInBollywood because they do NOT come out of it well.' Another tweeted, 'Sooraj Pancholi’s had no mercy on Jiah #DeathInBollywood' One tweeted, 'Jiah Khan's Death Is Now A Three-Part Documentary Titled Death In Bollywood; Twitterati Is Heartbroken After Watching The First Episode | LatestLY sooraj had no mercy, he tortured her beyond what humans can do in the name of love #DeathInBollywood' For those unaware, Jiah, born as Nafisa Rizvi Khan, was a British-American actress and singer who made her debut opposite Amitabh Bachchan back in 2007. Sooraj, on the other hand, is the son of actor Aditya Pancholi. He made his Bollywood debut in 2015 with the movie 'Hero'. His last release was 'Satellite Shankar'. It would, however, be pertinent to note that is innings in the Hindi film industry hasn't met the expectations of his fans.
