Indian farmer protest turns violent, person dies after tractor flips

The farmers protest took a violent turn in India on January 26 after demonstrators broke police barricades at the Singhu, Tikri and Ghazipur border areas and also clashed with police in several parts of Delhi. Several protesters and police officers were injured and the police resorted to batons and tear gas to contain the situation. One person died after a tractor overturned at Delhi's DDU Marg. The protesters were also seen riding tractors and trying to drive through the crowd and run over police personnel.
