Myanmar residents flee as police open fire in Yangon
Residents and protesters fled in panic as police reportedly opened fire with live rounds in Yangon, Myanmar, on Friday (February 26). The video was captured from an apartment in the Hledan district of the former capital. The escalating violence came almost one month after the military ousted former leader Aung San Suu Kyi from power and seized control of state operations. On Thursday there were clashes between pro-military supporters and protesters, with one man being stabbed.
