On cam: Pregnant woman, husband charred to death after their car catches fire in Kannur

A pregnant woman and her husband were charred to death after a moving car caught fire near the Kannur District Hospital in Kerala. Four others travelling in the back seats including a 3-year-old child survived the fire, which is suspected to have been caused by a short circuit. However, the police said that the cause can be ascertained only after a forensic test is held. The six-member family was en route to the hospital when the tragedy struck. Police identified the deceased as Kuttiyatoor natives Reesha, 26, and her husband Prajith, 32, who was driving the Maruti Spresso car. Police said the deceased couple got trapped in the vehicle as they could not open the two front doors of the car.
