Pune: No electricity for two months, PMPML officials forced to work in dark

Employees of Pune Mahanagar Parivahan Mahamandal Limited, the bus service operator in Pune, have been forced to work in the dark for the past two months. According to officials, electricity supply on the whole stretch from the Dengle Bridge to Tilak Bridge has been cut due to ongoing work for construction of a smart footpath. While the day poses little worries, it is during the evenings that officials have to use mobile phones to carry out their work, including maintaining bus trips. Strangely, senior officials of the PMPML seem to have no information about the lack of electricity in the office.
