Sunny Leone and Sonnalli Seygall's spot boys and hairdresser test COVID-19 positive
The shoot of an upcoming Vikram Bhatt directorial web show came to a halt recently after some of the staff turned COVID positive. The second COVID wave has hit the country, and it is only getting murkier by the minute! The web show features Sunny Leone and Sonnalli Seygall. A couple of days ago, Sunny's spot boy and Sonnalli's spot boy and hairdresser had tested positive for coronavirus, along with two other crew members. Despite taking all the precautions during the shoot, Vikram Bhatt had no option but to call for a stop amid the growing coronavirus scare, especially in Mumbai. This was the last thing he wanted since there's just four days of work left before he wraps up the series. Sunny and Sonnalli also got the RT-PCR test done after their staff tested positive; however their report has come negative and both are heaving a sigh of relief. Bhatt in a conversation with ETimes said, 'It is true that some of Sunny and Sonnali's staff members have tested positive for COVID. They are in quarantine and I am not shooting for now. Yes, consequently we had to stop the shoot.' Nowadays, a lot of film and web series' shoots are getting derailed. It is really unfortunate that certain sets cannot be pulled down as that would involve a humongous cost to re-erect them, but then, keeping them intact is also going to be a costly affair as the shoots, which have stopped, are not likely to start very soon. Earlier, director Hansal Mehta had put out a plea to the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation to allow the Bollywood film industry to continue night shoots if precautions and other standard operating procedures (SOPs) are maintained on the sets. He wrote, 'Please do not force us to cancel even night shootings @mybmc if precautions and SOPs are in place. We will be severely affected particularly those who are on daily wages and depend solely on shoots for survival. Seek urgent intervention @OfficeofUT @AUThackeray.'
