Thousands protest in Santiago demanding Chile's president resign
Thousands of people gathered in central Santiago, Chile, on Friday (November 27) to demand president Sebastián Piñera's resignation. The protesters also called for the release of people detained in protests in October. The rallies came a month after Chileans voted overwhelming in a referendum to replace the constitution inherited from the dictatorship of Augusto Pinochet, which ended in 1990.
