The weather forecast further warned that thuderstorms accompanied with gusty winds are very likely to be seen at isolated places over east Madhya Pradesh, Vidharbha, Chhattisgarh, Bihar, Jharkhand, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, north Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Tamil Nadu and Kerala.

Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand are very likely to witness thunderstorms accompanied with squall and hail, the IMD warned Monday.

On Monday morning, Delhi's traffic was brought down to a crawl with long jams in many areas of the city due to the rain.
