And as Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s love continues to flourish, so too does our appetite to see our favourite couple say “I do.”

While all their subtle signs point to a wedding, a new report from US Weekly reveals the golden carriage wheels are very much in motion towards that big moment.

Multiple sources tell the publication the royal has “quietly proposed” to his girlfriend of a year and for now, they're sharing their happy new with their inner circle so they can “enjoy it before word spreads.”

Another source adds the soon-to-be husband and wife will make an official announcement “soon” and predicts it could happen next month.

The couple are said to be keen to drop their beautiful wedding bomb after Meghan has wrapped filming for the seventh season of Suits in Toronto.

“It’d be a security nightmare to do it sooner. She’d be followed everywhere,” the friend explains.

It’s predicted Meghan will resign from the legal drama and relocate to Kesington Palace in London, before they’ll execute "a detailed media rollout” to help spread the good word of their wedding.

Royal fans will be thrilled to know that plan will involve a "small photo call at Kensington Palace, with just one photographer and journalist invited" and a TV interview to boot!

"On the same day, they’ll do a TV interview that will be syndicated around the world."

But don’t expect Harry to be following in the footsteps of big brother Prince William’s lavish 2011 wedding.

Insiders tell US Weekly "pomp and pageantry are the last thing Harry would want."

The publication thinks Harry could even choose St. George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle.

“It would give the day a sense of privacy Harry badly craves,” the source notes.

Friends insist Queen Elizabeth will attend the nuptials. © Provided by Bauer Media Pty Ltd Friends insist Queen Elizabeth will attend the nuptials. Despite some reports suggesting Queen Elizabeth wouldn’t be able to attend the wedding due to the fact she’s the head of the Church of England and Meghan is a divorcee, Us Weekly say there's "no question" that Her Majesty will be there front and centre.
