A bangin' body, a girl who can eat, and a super-down chick who can hang with the guys might be several responses you receive when asking men to describe their ideal girlfriends. But when you tweak the subject of the conversation to ask what they look for in a potential wife, things go beyond surface level. Turns out, when it's time to talk about the person you want to spend your life with instead of who you want to spend tonight with, sh*t gets a little more real, and in a good way.

Values shift from cool and slightly superficial to something with more depth and substance. In fact, none of their answers even mentioned physical appearance. Here's what men single, taken, and soon-to-be-married had to say.

"Motivated and independent; pushes me to be better. When I'm with her, I want to be the best me and make her happy along the way." - Andrew J., 28

"What makes a girl wifey material is sharing similar interests, able to converse on deep topics, knowing I can go to her with anything, and enjoying every moment with her knowing I can do this for the rest of my life." - Mason, 25
