2018 is officially here and some mothers are already slacking off on their resolutions. The holiday period can be tough in terms of getting into shape but once the leftovers are gone you can really get into your fitness routine. The main goal should be hitting small goals along the way to a much larger goal. This will make it much easier to stay motivated as losing something like 30 pounds can be a daunting task. Breaking this up into 5 pound increments means you can lose 2.5 pounds a month to hit your goal by the end of the year. The following are tips that will help you succeed when it comes to your goals as far as fitness and appearance go.

Write Down Your Goals and Show Someone

Far too many people have goals that they do not write down in fear of someone seeing it and making fun of them. Showing a person your goals allows that person to support you can help on the days that you are not motivated. This will also help you hold yourself accountable as failing at a goal in your head can be forgotten. Failing at a goal that is written down and concrete can help motivate you in the future. The most important thing you can do is put milestones on the way to your ultimate goal in order to maintain motivation and modify any routines if need be.

Try Some 30 and 90 Day Challenges

There are a myriad of fitness challenges as well as clean eating challenges available all over the internet. This can be a great way to break through plateaus as well as keep your routine new and exciting. These challenges can help jump-start your routine until you settle into something that you feel works well for you. The main goal in picking a challenge is finding one that aligns with your goals for the most part. Tweaking these challenges can be done but it is the willpower to do the challenge regardless of the strict rules that will ingrain some self-discipline for the rest of your fitness journey.

Take Care of Your Skin

The skin needs to be taken care of especially if you have had multiple children or get a lot of sun exposure. There is another aspect of skin that many mothers deal with and it is that of cellulite. This can be more rampant after a child or a decent amount of weight gained. A good cellulite massager can help with cellulite with consistent usage. Take the time to use lotion even if you feel like you do not need it on your face. Many people have much drier skin than they think as many people think their skin is fine if it isn’t irritated or cracking. There are far too many products that have been shown to reduce the signs of aging in the skin to pass them up.

As you can see you just need to take a proactive approach about your fitness and appearance. This will get you off on the right foot for this new year, good luck!
