Seven-gold target for Asian Games
PUTRAJAYA: A seven-gold medal target has been set for the upcoming Asian Games in Indonesia.
It was announced by Youth and Sports Minister Syed Saddiq Syed Abdul Rahman after the flag handing over ceremony, attended by Prime Minister Tun Mahathir Mohamad on Friday.
"Our target is seven gold medals, but if we are lucky enough we can win around 11 titles.
"Among the sports we have identified for medals are cycling, karate, sepak takraw, silat and bowling," said Syed Saddiq.
