Manchester United will be without injured quartet Marcos Rojo, Daley Blind, Ander Herrera and Phil Jones when they take on Sevilla at Old Trafford this evening.

The four players didn't train yesterday, and although Paul Pogba wasn't snapped by photographers, Jose Mourinho insists the Frenchman did undergo a session.

But he admits he doesn't know if the midfielder will be fit enough to play.

United go into tonight's second leg against the Spanish side knowing any kind of victory will see them into the last eight.

The Red Devils came away from the first leg with a goalless draw and are bidding to join rivals Manchester City and Liverpool in the quarter-finals.

One man who is in the squad is Michael Carrick, and he confirmed he will retire at the end of the season in Monday's press conference.

The former England midfielder said: "There comes a time, whether you like it or not, that your body tells you it's time to stop playing football,” said Carrick.

“That's pretty much where I'm at. It's something you've got to accept.”

Carrick, who won five Premier League titles, one Champions League, one FA Cup and three League Cups with United, has taken up a role within Mourinho's coaching staff.

"It's kind of been sorted out, but we're still talking about it, so there's nothing to totally confirm yet,” said Carrick. “But it's looking likely."
