Slide 1 of 27

On Sept. 19, suspect Ahmad Khan Rahami was taken into custody after a shoot-out with police in Linden, New Jersey. Earlier in the day, an improvised explosive device went off near a railway station in Elizabeth, New Jersey, U.S., as a bomb squad was trying to disarm it with a robot. According to Mayor Christian Bollwage, five devices were discovered in a backpack near the station, in a rubbish bin. No one was hurt in the blast. This development came a day after an explosion in the Chelsea neighborhood of Manhattan injured 29 people.
