
Sarawak assembly unanimously passes 2023 budget with RM238mil surplus
The Sarawak Legislative Assembly has unanimously approved the 2023 state budget, which is expected to generate a surplus of RM238mil. The RM10.797bil budget was tabled by Sarawak Premier Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg. In his winding-up speech on Thursday (Dec 1), Abang Johari said Sarawak's economy was picking up and on track towards recovery from the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic.
