The victim, a 44-year-old man known as Ng had lodged a police report after receiving a threatening message on his mobile phone from an individual named Alex Wong. On March 20, Ng had applied for a credit card from Alex, after believing that he was an “Aeon Credit” agent but turned out that he was actually a loan shark.
