Hollyoaks spoilers follow.

It's a new year and Hollyoaks is getting a big refresh for its opening title sequence.

The new-look credits sequence debuted during Friday's (January 14) first-look episode on E4 to reflect the significant cast changes that have recently and are about to take place.

In the extended cut above, the residents of Hollyoaks have a fun night out with their friends and family, as each group of characters gets their own little vignette.

There are fun teasers and Easter eggs all throughout the clip for Hollyoaks fans, including hints that maybe Sienna Blake and Warren Fox's complicated love story might not be finished yet.

The Chen-Williams family have their own moment in the spotlight as they get together to watch Mason's magic trick (which doesn't quite go to plan). Grace Blake and Saul Reeves look positively loved up during their turn.

Also featured are Leela Lomax and Ste Hay's family sharing some burgers, Brooke keeping Ripley up to date on all of the happenings and Darren and Charlie playing some table football.

Even the Deveraux/Westwoods seem to be enjoying themselves, in spite of the traumatic week that has seen Celeste Faroe perish in the explosion and Martine find out about Toby killing Lisa Loveday.

Sadly, Celeste is no longer featured in the title sequence following her on-screen demise, nor are Marnie Nightingale or Sylver McQueen. All three were casualties of the Salon du The blast.

Sarah Jayne Dunn has also been removed following her departure from Hollyoaks over disagreements about her OnlyFans account late last year. Her character Mandy's final scenes haven't aired quite yet.

In spite of those departures, it's looking like it will be an exciting year in Hollyoaks!

Hollyoaks airs new episodes from Mondays to Fridays at 6.30pm on Channel 4, with first-look screenings at 7pm on E4. Selected omnibus episodes are available via Amazon Prime Video.
