Hidden camera pranks on The Ellen DeGeneres Show are all fun and games – until someone gets caught stealing.

Ellen DeGeneres decided to see what would happen when she told her audience members they could take one (and only one!) item from her show's gift shop.

"I just wanted to see how honest my audience was," she said. "It turns out you're very, very honest. But we set up hidden cameras just to make sure."

First, the 59-year-old talk show host highlighted a good audience member who played by the rules. (If she looks familiar, it's because randomly she's '90s child star Vanessa Lee Chester from Jurassic Park: The Lost World and A Little Princess!)

But then, Ellen moved on to someone slightly less honest: a woman named Nancy who thought no one would notice if she stealthily stocked up on merch.

In the clip, Nancy's friend asks her if she's taking "more stuff" and Nancy says, "Shhh. No. Shut up," as she grabs multiple souvenirs.

"I like that you liked the products so much that you wanted to bring one back for your sister," Ellen told Nancy in front of the studio audience. "You're the kind of person that when you go trick-or-treating and nobody's home you don't just take one piece of candy, you take the bowl."

But Ellen used the whole thing as a teaching moment.

"Let that be a lesson to you," she told Nancy. "You think nobody's watching you, and you just need to be a good person…You go sit in that Ellen chair right now."

Yep, Ellen dragged a dunce chair on stage and made Nancy sit in the corner to pay for her sins.

Shame, shame, shame.
