The heritage-rich town of Kutná Hora bought its brewery in 1589 and ran it for 360 years until nationalization brought it under government control. It returned briefly to town ownership in 1992 and is now operated by the Drinks Union group. The brewery’s beers are sold at many local restaurants and bars.
