Set up with the help of government grants, Amsterdam’s smallest brewery has a workforce made up of recovering psychiatric patients. The first choice of name—De Parel (“The Pearl”)—had to be changed when Budels complained that it infringed on the copyright of their Parel beer. The solution was simply to shuffle the letters of the name around.
