This brewery is known first for beers whose names describe their hoppy nature, such as Pure Hoppiness and Exponential Hoppiness (“double dry-hopped” and not always available). It also produces beers with unusual ingredients, including a honey ale with orange zest and coriander, and a wheat beer infused with vanilla pods.

Pure Hoppiness

beer style: India Pale Ale
alcohol content: 8% ABV

A balance of German hops for spiciness and American Northwest varieties for piney and citrus flavors.

Mcilhenney’s Irish Red

beer style: Irish Red
alcohol content: 6% ABV

Brewed with 11 malts, including rye. Complex aromas, with caramel and toffee emerging on the palate. A spicy, medium-dry finish.
