Box Step Squat: Step 1
Step 1 Stand with your feet shoulder-width apart and bend the knees to a half-squat position. Place your hands in front of your body and press the palms together.
Box Step Squat: Step 2
Step 2 Step to the side with one leg as far as possible and stay in the squat position. Bring your other leg to that side to return to the starting position.
Box Step Squat: Step 3
Step 3 Next, step one leg back as far as possible, following it with the second leg. Then step to the other side with the other leg, following it to return to starting position. Lastly, step forward with the outside leg, following it with the inside leg. By this time, you should be back in the starting position after making a box-shape with your steps.

Tips

Do not let the knees cave inward.

Always maintain the squat position during the exercise and be sure to reverse the direction to train both directions.

Do not rise from the squat position during the exercise.
