Get Up Sit-up: Step 1
Step 1 Lie on the floor and hold a dumbbell in one hand straight above your chest. One leg should be bent with your foot flat on the floor.
Get Up Sit-up: Step 2
Step 2 Initiating the move in your abs, curl up while keeping the dumbbell overhead. Pause, and then return to the floor.

Progressions & Variations

Tips

Don't use momentum. Sit up by contracting your core.

Slowly lower your body back to floor.

Use a full range of motion and sit up as far as possible while keeping the dumbbell overhead at all times.
