Sumo Squat to Stand: Step 1
Step 1 Stand tall with your feet about shoulder-width apart from each other. Then, push your hips back, bend at your waist, and grab your toes.
Sumo Squat to Stand: Step 2
Step 2 Drop your hips back into a squat and lift your chest upward as you lower your body towards the floor. Hold, then push the hips upward until you feel your hamstrings stretch.
Sumo Squat to Stand: Step 3
Step 3 Raise each arm up to the ceiling, one at a time. Return to starting position.

Progressions & Variations

Tips

Don't let your back round at any point during the movement.

Don't allow your knees to cave in as you squat down.

You should feel tension in your hamstrings and glutes when you reach for your toes. It should not strain your lower back.
