Step 2 Keeping your core tight, slowly lower your body to the ground, as though to perform a regular pushup. Instead of lowering all the way to the ground in one motion, pause briefly halfway to the ground.

Step 3 Continue the pushup, pausing briefly again at the bottom of the movement. As you return to start, pause again halfway to the top.
