Staff Pose: Step 1
Step 1 Start in a seated position with your legs long and together in front of you, flexing your feet.
Staff Pose: Step 2
Step 2 Press your palms into the ground on either side of your hips, then roll your shoulders down your back and away from your ears.
Staff Pose: Step 3
Step 3 Feel both of your sitz bones firmly rooting into the ground, and lengthen all the way through your spine, keeping your chin slightly tucked.

Not recommended for anyone suffering from lower back or wrist maladies.

Benefits

Strengthens hip flexors and core. Improves posture.

Modifications

If your palms don't comfortably reach the ground, you can place two blocks underneath them.
