This combination of breath of fire, which is believed to cleanse the body, with alternate nostril breathing, which is believed to balanced the mind, can combat congestion and clear your head. If you're very stuffed up, try using a neti pot-considered an important tool in yogic cleansing-before this routine. Or keep tissues handy.

Safety Warning

If either nostril is completely blocked, even after using a neti and performing breath of fire, do not continue with alternate nostril breathing.
