The Women Most Likely To Be Meghan Markle’s Bridesmaids

As we come up to Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's royal wedding in May, we're looking at the women and girls who could be chosen to be bridesmaids, including Priyanka Chopra, Kate Middleton and Jessica Mulroney.: The Women Most Likely To Be Meghan Markle’s Bridesmaids © Provided by Bauer Media Pty Ltd The Women Most Likely To Be Meghan Markle’s Bridesmaids With under two months to go until the biggest event of the year, all eyes are on Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's royal wedding. And while we already know the major things like the location, the time and (most) of the 600 guests (and what they have to wear), we're now looking into the finer details.

Which tiara will Meghan pick? Where will they have their historic first kiss? Are they really going to have the Spice Girls perform at their reception (please say yes)?

Another question that has been niggling at royal-watchers revolves around who the bride is going to pick as her Maid of Honour and bridesmaids.

Unlike Duchess Catherine, who's choice of her only sister was fairly straight-forward, there's no obvious choice for Meghan. She isn't close with her half-sister and she has a group of very close friends to choose from.

So who will get the top job? We run down the nominees.

Jessica Mulroney

If you were a betting person, you might put your money on Jessica Mulroney being picked as Meghan's Maid of Honour. Mulroney has been friends with the bride for years and has served her as her personal stylist since stepping into the royal spotlight, meaning they've been seeing a lot of each other.

There are rumours that Mulroney has also been acting as an unofficial wedding planner, getting all the details together, which would wrap this up neatly.

Lindsay Roth

Another old friend, Lindsay Roth, may be in the running. The TV producer and author has known Meghan for years, and actually chose Meghan to be her own Maid of Honour when she got hitched in 2016.

Since the engagement, Roth has been fairly quiet on the Meghan front—giving one interview where she described the bride as "generous" and "supportive."

Priyanka Chopra

If Meghan is after some star power for her big day, actress Priyanka Chopra would be an option. Meghan has known Chopra for about three years and considers her a close friend.

When Harper's BAZAAR Arabia asked if she will be serving as a bridesmaid for Meghan, she answered, "If you see me there, you'll know,"

Kate Middleton

A veteran at royal weddings, Kate would certainly know the ins and outs of the day, but we think it's very unlikely Kate will be called up. At the time of the wedding, she'll have just given birth to their third child, and she also hasn't known Meghan that long, which would make it a strange choice.

We think the Duchess will more likely be seen as a guest only.

Bridesmaids

Aside from Maid of Honour Pippa Middleton, the rest of the bride's entourage was made up of young girls as 'bridesmaids.' This is a fairly typical choice for aristocratic and royal weddings. Duchess Catherine had four young bridesmaids and two pageboys, something most people think Meghan and Harry will echo.

Princess Charlotte

Ivy Mulroney

From Meghan's side of things, Ivy Mulroney, her stylist and best friend Jessica Mulroney's four-year-old daughter, is another likely choice.

Isla Phillips

Savannah Phillips

Mia Tindall

Benita Litt’s daughters

Prince George

As Prince Harry's only nephew and future King of England, he's a shoe-in. Plus, he's fresh off being a pageboy in his aunt Pippa's 2017 wedding, so he's basically a little wedding veteran.

James, Viscount Severn
