Look at this. It's a beautiful dog on a roof. He's there quite a lot, as it happens. Why though?

The dog is Huckleberry and he rather likes it. It's as simple as that. Unfortunately, not everybody realises the Golden Retriever from Austin, Texas, is able to safely get up and down.

So worried neighbours kept knocking on the door to tell his owners that they've spotted him wandering about on top of their house. They were worried about Huckleberry's welfare and wanted to air their concerns.

It was happening so much that now the occupants of the house have now had to write a message to let everyone know about their dog's somewhat peculiar activities. They've left it by the front door.

The note says:

“Don’t be alarmed. Huckleberry is living up to his name and learned how to jump onto our roof from the backyard. We never leave him in the backyard without someone being at home. He will not jump off unless you entice him with food or a ball!

“We appreciated your concern but please do not knock on our door. We know he’s up there. But please feel free to take pictures of him and share with the world. #hucktheroofdog."

Yes, Huckleberry is okay and well looked after. And now, since the whole thing has caught the attention of people on social media, people are obsessing over the dog. He is, unquestionably, a good boy.

He's even now got his own Instagram account. You should follow it. Look at him. Look at Huckleberry.
