Tom Fletcher revealed his wife Giovanna Fletcher was body-shamed by hospital staff in A&E, 11 days after giving birth.

She previously confessed to having been taunted about her post-baby body, but the McFly singer accidentally let slip what REALLY happened on This Morning today.

He said: "It was someone who works in A&E. They were supposed to be looking after us."

As the married couple were talking about it again on the ITV daytime show, Giovanna said: "I've never said that bit before."

Giovanna, 31, had previously explained how 30-year-old "Tom's jaw dropped" when his wife was told "Mummy's still got her tummy" by a fan just after she gave birth to Buddy - but said it was just someone in the park.

She explained: "Tom's jaw dropped. I think neither of us could believe it was being said. And I know afterwards he came back home and spoke to his mum and dad about it, he was speaking about it more than I was."

After Giovanna declined the chance to be in a snap with the woman, Tom and their newborn Buddy, the woman continued: "Ok maybe another time, when your face has slimmed down."

A few days ago I had a near stranger point at my stomach, laugh and say 'Oh look, Mummy's still got her tummy'. This was eleven days after giving birth. I was so shocked I laughed. But the words have stuck with me. Obviously. It wasn't left there either as there was another comment about my face 'slimming down'. More than anything, I was baffled over the stranger's need to share her thoughts... Yes, I still have a bump. But that bump kept my little baby boy safe for a whole nine months. That bump has filled my world with even more love and light than I knew possible. That bump is a miracle worker... My bump will slowly go over time, but I'll never stop being thankful to it and my body for everything it's given me. #spreadlove ❤️ xx

She said: "I write about having PCOS and having a miscarriage. I didn't tell Tom I was going to do that. I let him read it."

Tom said upon reading that particular section of the book, he became very emotional.

He said: "I cried for a long time but sharing it is so important.

"There is so much I didn't know before we became parents."
